A message from: Liza Miranda, Regional Vice-Moderator and Regional Assembly committee chair.
I had the privilege of overseeing the planning and execution of our 2026 Florida Disciples Regional Assembly, which took place from April 24-25 at First Christian Church in Haines City, Florida. I am grateful for the support and the opportunity to gather with Disciples from across the region in a time of worship, learning, and fellowship.
Our assembly was marked by several significant events. We welcomed ninety-nine adults in person, twelve adults virtually, twelve youth, four elementary school children, six local church members who attended, and several representatives from our General Ministries. First Christian Church in Haines City, Florida, provided exceptional hospitality. Rev. Dr. Denise Bell delivered an inspiring message of hope that resonated throughout our region. The event was further enriched by performances from dancers from Unity Christian Church in Fort Myers and Iglesia Cristiana de Deltona, who showcased both the present and the hope for the future of our region.
